Lava Cake
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup salted butter
- 170 grams (~6 ounces) bittersweet chocolate chips (reduce sugar for semi-sweet)
- 2 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 tbs flour (KAF measure for measure)
- Ice cream and/or whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450F. Butter and flour four ramekins on a baking sheet.
- Microwave chocolate and butter, stirring regularly. Whisk smooth.
- In another bowl mix eggs, egg yolks, sugar, and salt. Beat until pale yellow.
- Fold in chocolate mixture and flour and divide into ramekins
- Bake for 6-8 minutes until the sides are cake and the middle is still gooey.
- Flip onto plates and eat with cream!
